lance rebekah

After having left Bekah to her laundry to take care of some work stuff, Lance makes his appearance at her apartment. He knocks on the door to announce his arrival to her. Not having notified her before hand that he was coming over, he just hopes that she is alone. He is wearing the same outfit that he was wearing earlier, but this time he has two very important accessories. A bag of Thai food and a case of beer.
There is muffled noises but it will turn out to be the radio. The door flies open and Bekah stares at him. Then she smiles and launches into his arms. "How did you know that I was starving for you…" She winks and holds open the door so that he might enter.

Lance smiles as he returns the hug. "Well, I figured I still owed you Thai food," He says as he lifts the bag containing the food. "and I got some beer to go with it." He lifts the case of beer too. "Are my offerings acceptable to your majesty?"

Rebekah nods her head. "I approve of them.. for now." She winks towards him and moves to grab some plates and a bottle opener. "I'm glad you swung by, I was thinking I scared you off or lost you to a waitress."

Lance chuckles as he grins and steps inside to start setting up the food and drinks. "Naw, I just had to swing by work to schedule a business deal. Plus I know I still had a debt to repay you." He says with a grin as he watches her, already offering her a beer and has one of his own in his other hand.

Rebekah takes the beer with a tip of the bottle in thanks before she shakes her head. "How is work coming along?" Her eyes move towards her bedroom before she takes up one of the plates to begin serving herself.

Lance sighs softly at the mention of work, opening his bottle of beer. "It's coming, but I might be working more here in the next few weeks to prepare for this deal. So, I'll be leaving town in a month or so for a few days when the negotiations do go down." He says, starting to serve himself some food as she does the same.

Rebekah wrinkles her nose and then perks. "Well maybe I could come with you. Where do you have to travel with this work assignment?" She sits down at the table like she's civilized people.

Lance frowns and shakes his head. "I wish you could go, but we're not allowed to bring guests. It's all company paid, so it's their rules." He says as he sets one container down and moves to another to add some of it to his plate. "But, I will promise to bring you back something very tasteful and something very trashy." The last part is said jokingly.

Rebekah laughs to that. "So your next girlfriend then?" She can't help but tease as she takes a bite of Pad Thai with chicken. Her eyes watch him for a few moments. "So.. did I make you uncomfortable at lunch with the us talk?"

Lance laughs with her at that. "Are you asking me out, Beks?" He asks with a soft chuckle before he takes a bite of his food. He looks at her again as she asks her question, shrugging slightly. "A little bit. I just wasn't really expecting it to happen. You just caught me a little off guard."

Rebekah makes a groaning noise and tosses a napkin at him. "You calling me trashy?" She smiles in the tease before she shrugs a bit. "I didn't mean to ambush you or anything. It's just been on my mind and… stuff." Mmm food.

Lance raises an eyebrow as he looks at her, taking a bite. "Stuff? What kind of stuff?" He asks before he chews his food, speaking again when his mouth is empty again. "And no, I'm not calling you trashy…" He grins and chuckles softly before he takes a drink from his beer.

Rebekah beams. "Then I take tasteful!" Nevermind that she has the fashion taste of a blind person from the 60s. "I don't know.. us stuff. Like what we are doing, should we be doing it, should we be doing it differently.."

Lance laughs and nods. "Well, tasteful it is then." He grins and chuckles, grinning as he looks at her. "I think I know what you'll like." He grins, taking another drink and nods his head once. "Oh, yeah. That stuff. I admit that stuff has been bothering me too." He says as he sets down the plate on the coffee table. "I just really don't know what to do without putting everything we had at risk."

Rebekah nods her head. "It's funny really. I mean normally I come to talk to you about these things, but who do I talk to when it's about you?" She gives a soft shake of her head. "I don't know what to do or say here. I mean… what do you want?"

Lance sighs and nods. "I know what you mean. I really don't have anyone else to talk to about this stuff either." He takes another drink from his beer. "I guess this is just something that we have to do on our own I guess. I dunno." He looks at her again. "I don't know what I want to be honest. I mean on the one hand, I don't want to ruin what we have in case it doesn't work but on the other hand, I don't want to miss out on what could be if we don't."

Rebekah nods her head. "Maybe we could make an agreement to try and um.. if we are heading down the path of doom, maybe um..stop, but you know communicate and stuff." She sighs and then chuckles. "This is new territory for me, Casanova."

Lance takes a deep breath before he thinks for a few moments. He takes a drink from his beer before he looks up at her. "It's new territory for me too. I never tried to mix friendship with relationships, but I don't know…" He pauses as he tries to gather his thoughts, taking her idea into consideration. "I'm just nervous, you know?" He says, looking back up at her.

Rebekah nods her head. "I know. I border on this jealousy one moment and then none of it the next. Then I really want you and then I'm afraid to really want you." She shrugs a bit to this. "I um… one of us is going to have to lay their cards down first." Which implies she means him.

Lance nods as he chuckles, looking up at her. "You're not the only one, remember Vegas and Tommy boy." He says, his index finger raised slightly. He thinks for a moment as he looks at her. "I really don't know, Beks. Can you give me a few days to think things through and then I can give you an answer?"

Rebekah nods her head. "Yeah.. this might just be a bad idea as it is." She shrugs and then looks up at him. "I haven't heard from or contacted Tommy since we got back from Vegas. We weren't like that you know. I was just something to get his rocks off with and he was something to.. I don't know, have fun with."

Lance nods and smiles slightly. "Yeah. It's a big step between us. I just need to think everything over first and make sure I make the right choice." He says before he listens to her, nodding. "Yeah. I understand it wasn't anything with you two, but it still had the same effect." He chuckles softly, picking up his plate. "But, for now, let's just enjoy the night and not let this glorious food go to waste."

Rebekah gives him a considering look. "Gonna call that gal?" She then digs into her food as though she hasn't ate in millions of years. In truth, she raided his fridge when she did laundry over there.

Lance looks at her and nods once. "Yeah. I just need to see if something I think I know is right or not." At least he's being honest and not lying to her about calling her. He takes a bite from his plate, washing it down with the beer. "I just need to know." He watches her eat for a moment before he chuckles. "If you slow down, you can actually taste the food."

Rebekah sets the fork down to that and sighs. "I think you should go, Lance. I have um.. a late night and early morning with work." She looks hurt and she's not hiding that from him. "Thank you for the food."

Lance frowns immediately hearing her words and sets his plate down on the coffee table and nods. "Alright. I'm sorry." He says before he stands from his place and sighs. "I'll talk to you later then." He says before he starts to move towards the door, letting himself out and closes the door gently behind him.

Rebekah offers on his way out. "Lance.. if you have to fuck something to know if you want to be with me, then you don't want to be with me." She then grabs the containers to place them in the fridge.

Lance stops just before the door shuts completely at her words, opening the door again and looking back at her. "I'm not going to to fuck her. I hadn't even thought about it. I wanted to see if the urge to fuck someone else was there or not. If it was, then I know that we shouldn't go on and if it isn't, like I believe it isn't, then we should. I just need to be sure."

Rebekah shakes her head to that. "Lance.. if you have to go out with someone else to be sure, you aren't sure and you aren't committed to it." She sighs a bit. "I don't want to play games and you apparently do. So, just forget it." She's hurt and it's showing as it's her friend and she doesn't have the urge to hide behind her walls right now.

Lance sighs and shakes his head slightly. "Fine. Whatever." He says as he looks at her. "Call me whenever." And with that, he finally closes the door and heads down the hallway.

Rebekah lowers her brows to that and actually starts to say something. Then she just stops. A shake of her head and then she mutters something to herself. It sounds along the lines of enjoy your fuck. Howevcer, Rebekah does not chase.
