Lance comes home from overseas 'work'. They figure things out.

Lance Neville rebekah

Over the past several days, Lance has been out of town while working overseas. All she knows is that he was called for an emergency negotiation deal in Tokyo. Finally, a full week after he had left, Lance returns home. A text message is sent to Rebekah's phone from him to let her know he's back and on his way over. And, as promised, there is a knock at the front door shortly after and he stands on the other side with a backpack slung over a shoulder.

There is a moment of uncertainty to that text message when it arrives. In fact, Rebekah read it five hundred times, not that she'd admit that. Does he hate her? Is everything okay? Are they friends? Are they more? Becky all but wears a rut in the floor with her pacing until there is a knock at the door. It is then that she takes a calming breath. How is she going to react when she sees him? The question echoes in her mind before she swings open the door to greet him. There isn't even a moment's hesitation before she's attempting to wrap her arms around him in a hug. "You're home."

Lance smiles as the door is opened and he sees her. "Heya." He says as he wraps his arms around her to return the hug. "Yeah. I just got home a few hours ago and I come bearing gifts." He says, lifting up the shoulder with the backpack on it. "Think you'll like them too." His head nods once before he smiles, looking at her again. "You look good."

Rebekah reaches up to brush her hair from her face as she smiles towards the man. "I like gifts." There is a tip of her head in a curious sort of manner as she sees the backpack. The blonde steps to the side to let him in.

Lance steps into the apartment, moving to sit on the couch and removes the backpack, setting it on the floor in front of it before he starts to unzip it. "Well, I'm glad you like gifts. I just hope you like clothes as well." He says before he starts pulling out clothes from Japan and stacking them on the coffee table. There is an assortment of shirts and jeans and even an authentic kimono. "Some of these clothes aren't even in America yet."

Rebekah seems totally interested in the kimono. "Oh! This is like awesome." She leans in to kiss him and pauses. There is that awkward moment before she alters to kiss his cheek. "Thank you. I totally didn't get you anything, but I could like, make you food or something."

Lance smiles and shakes his head. "That's alright. You don't have to worry about it. I just thought you'd like 'em." He says as he finishes pulling out the clothes, setting the backpack aside so no one trips over it accidentally. "You don't have to cook. I ate on the jet."

Rebekah gives a soft oh to that and looks away. Her fingers reach out to touch the items with a soft smile. Well at least he thought of her enough to buy something. That's good right? right? Bekah looks back towards him and smiles a bit. "Casanova, are we okay? I mean we were sort of in a fight lsat time." About a girl and his doubts.

Lance looks at her for a moment before he looks down at the ground for a moment before looking back at her, nodding his head. "Yeah. The trip overseas gave me some time to think and gave me new clarity, I guess." He rests his elbows on his knees, bent forward slightly. "I'm sorry for the way I acted last time. It wasn't right of me."

Wuh-oh "Clarity?" Rebekah offers with a mixture of doubt. She can almost hear Thomas' question about how things are going with Lance in her head right now. Then she looks back to the man. "So um… I.." She takes a breath. "What did you realize?"

Lance leans back in his seat, turning slightly to face her more. He shrugs his shoulders slightly as she repeats the word. "I don't know if that's the right word. It's just the first one that popped in my head." He glances back down at the coffee table for a moment as he gathers his thoughts, looking back up at her as he speaks again. "I'd at least like to give us a try and if it doesn't work out, then we'll have to deal with it if it comes to that."

There are times in life when you think you know what is coming, so you respond to that. In Rebekah's life, this is one of those moments. "It's okay, I understand Lance. I mean you aren't really the type to be tied to one girl and we are better off as frie..what?" The green of her eyes swing over to him a moment to that. "You really want to give this a try? I thought you wanted to date around. Why the sudden change?"

Lance chuckles a bit at the response before he looks at her, shrugging his shoulders again at the question. "I don't know. I guess I would rather we try and find out than us not knowing and remain friend, wondering 'what if' the entire time. I don't want to be wondering if it could have worked or if not."

Rebekah is silent for a moment and then out of no where, she launches herself at him. The intent is to kiss him full and hard on the mouth. She doesn't seem to have words, so this will work better.

Lance is taken aback for a moment, not expecting her to launch herself at him or the intensity of the kiss. Finally, he closes his eyes as he wraps his arms around her and returns the kiss, continuing until she decides to break it.
Rebekah doesn't seem willing to break it. She's been worried how this was going to turn out for a bit of time. Her body slides a little too provocatively against his before she finally breaks it. "So… does this mean we are an us? Like um… do I introduce you as my boyfriend or.. um.. are we casual or.." So many rules.

Lance doesn't seem to mind as his hand moves over her sides, resting on her hips. He finally opens his eyes as she breaks the kiss, looking at her with a smile on his lips. "I think it does make this an us and let's try not to over think things. Let's just figure it all out as we come to them."

Rebekah nods her head to that and is happy to push him back a bit to lounge over him, if he allows. "Well one thing.. so I don't fuck up or anything. Are we an exclusive us?"

Lance smiles and does let her push him back against the couch, looking up at her. "I would say that we are unless we decide otherwise?" He says that more as a question rather than a statement, not really sure himself if that's what she wants as well.

Rebekah nods her head to that. "Yeah.. um.. if we um.. decide not to be. We talk first, don't just do it and then tell me okay?" she leans in to brush her lips against his. "So, does this mean I can now show you exactly how much I missed you…" There is a pause. "Preferably without clothing?"

Lance smiles and nods, looking at her. "Understood. Talk, agree then sleep." He chuckles and smirks before he smiles as he feels her lips against him. "If you would like to, then I would be more than happy to see just how much." He smiles and then gasps as if he figured something out. "Oh! Did you make me a macaroni card?"

Rebekah pushes herself up to look down at him when he asks that question. "A macaroni card…" She trails off for a few moments. Then she smiles. "Yes and I hid it somewhere in the covers of my bed." She moves in to kiss his cheek.

Lance grins as he returns the kiss on his cheek with one on hers. "Oh joy! I can't hardly wait to find it!" He grins and stands up next to her. "Lead the way then." He says, letting her take the lead to her room since it is her house, after all. "I'll just follow and admire the view."

There is a shake of her head. Of course, she takes this opportunity to show him how much she missed him. How very very much she missed him for a few hours of missing him. Until they are sexed, satisfied, smoked, showered and re-dressed. Now it is potential hunger and couch snuggling. "So.. how was your trip?"

Lance feels worn out, yet refreshed. Satisfied, but craving more. Hungry, but not wanting to go do anything about it. He smiles as he looks at her, placing a kiss at the top of her head. "The trip was good. The negotiations looked like it was going to get away from us, but I managed to finally get it in the end. So, at least I get to keep my job and get paid."

Rebekah smirks. "Well that is good. If you were unemployed, I'd have to dump you." She teases as she's curled against him. She lowers her brows for a few moments. "One of these times, I should totally go with you. I think I still have a passport and I think it's still current."

Lance chuckles as he looks at her again, shaking his head. "We talked about that. It's against company policy. I'll take you one day when I get to travel and don't have to work, how about that?" He asks, as he idly runs his fingers through her hair.

Rebekah nods her head as she leans in against him. "Okay.." There is a thought before she offers. "I saw Tommy the other day. We are um.. completely through. I mean we were before you and I. I haven't spoken to him since we got back from Vegas. I just thought I should let you know."

Lance nods and softly kisses her forehead before he smiles and looks at her. "Thank you for telling me and I never did call that girl nor am I going to." He says to her, since she offered hers first.

Rebekah nods her head. "I'm sorry that I got all … unreasonable about her. I just.." She sighs. "I'm not good with this leaning on another person and being emotionally needy or weak to them, you know?"

Lance nods hid head slowly as he listens, offering a reassuring smile. "Don't worry about it. It's in the past now. All we have to do now is just worry about the future. What do you say we go out and get something to eat? I worked up an appetite."
